TheatreWorks Expands the New Works Festival and Performance Spaces in New Season
TheatreWorks and Cal Performances announce their 2025/26 seasons, an August Wilson classic takes the stage at A.C.T., and take your chance to win tickets to a San Francisco Opera performance.

Before the mainstage season even begins, TheatreWorks will launch its annual New Works Festival—now expanded and more ambitious than ever. This beloved incubator for new plays and musicals has long been a cornerstone of the company’s identity, with a track record of developing shows that go on to national and international stages.
The TheatreWorks’ 2025/26 season opens with a fresh adaptation of Little Women by Lauren Gunderson, directed by Artistic Director Giovanna Sardelli. Running from September 24 to October 12, 2025, at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, this production offers a contemporary take on the classic tale of the March sisters, emphasizing their enduring bonds and individual journeys.
