About the Artists
Susie Benchasil Seiter
Susie Benchasil Seiter is a prolific conductor and orchestrator for film, television, video games, and live concerts. Recent appearances include the Philadelphia Orchestra, Cleveland Orchestra, Sarasota Orchestra, Calgary Philharmonic, Seattle Symphony, Royal Philharmonic, National Symphony, San Diego Symphony, Baltimore Symphony, Charlotte Symphony, and Sydney Symphony. She makes her San Francisco Symphony debut with this program.
Seiter was the lead orchestrator for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts and Disney’s World’s Best. She also contributed orchestrations to Star Trek: Picard, Disney’s Encanto, and the games Mario + Rabids Sparks of Hope, Fortnite, Diablo III, Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate, God of War II and III, Dauntless, Chrono Odyssey, and Lords of the Fallen. In 2022, she completed co-composing the Netflix limited series drama Thai Cave Rescue.
Seiter has conducted and orchestrated the music of her husband, composer Chad Seiter, for game titles in some of history’s enduring franchises: Star Trek and Lego Jurassic World. She recently finished orchestrating and conducting his score to Microsoft Studios’ ReCore, featuring the London Philharmonia, full chorus, a large rock ensemble, and electronics. She also completed the orchestration for The Little Mermaid Live at the Hollywood Bowl. As a frequent collaborator of composer Austin Wintory, Seiter orchestrated The Banner Saga series as well as his BAFTA-nominated score for Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate and Grammy-nominated Abzû, which was recorded at Abbey Road Studios.
