Who’s Who: Cast Bios

RIA AGRAWAL, she/her (Meg) is so excited to be making her Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE debut as Meg! Her previous credits include Romeo & Juliet (Theatre Battery), Matilda JR. and The Addams Family (Youth Theatre Northwest), and more! She’s also part of Village Theatre Institute. She’s very thankful to her parents and friends for their wonderful support.

TIAGO DIAS, he/him (Ensemble) is excited to make his Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE debut! He has previously performed in Tales from Munchkinland, Unleashed, New Works, Wise Kids of Chelm, and Year of the Tigers (Youth Theatre Northwest). Tiago loves the performing arts with an emphasis on theatre, digital media, and video production. He is fluent in Spanish and is a brown belt in Taekwondo and Arnis.

KYLIE DOOHAN-MITCHELL, she/her (Ensemble) is excited to be involved in her first Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE production. She performed in previous productions with her school as Mr. Coggins in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, a Silly Girl in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, and as a Siren in Fearsome Pirate Frank. In addition to acting and singing, Kylie enjoys facilitating a summer art camp for her neighbors and is a Girl Scout. Kylie is grateful to her family.

OLIVIA EGLIN, she/her (Ensemble) is thrilled to be a part of this cast of A Wrinkle in Time. Some of her prior roles include Ophelia in How to Survive a Shakespeare Play, Uncle in Charlotte’s Web and Turkey Farmer in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Outside of theater, she enjoys hanging out with her friends, playing with her two dogs and listening to music.

KAYDEN HELLER, they/them (Ensemble) is jazzed to be part of their first Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE production! Recent credits include Robin Starveling in A Midwinter Night’s Dream and various roles in A Shakespeare Festival (The Original Theatre Black Dog). Much love to Kayden’s mom for passing on her passion for theatre and encouraging Kayden to reach for the stars! Thanks to all their teachers, friends, family, and Dad for making sure they can get to class and rehearsal! Please Enjoy!

MAYA IYER-VIJH, she/her (Aunt Beast, u/s Meg) is excited to make her Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE debut! She is a two-time Village Theatre Institute student. You may have seen her recently in her school’s productions as Ensemble in Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Gaston in Disney’s Beauty and The Beast. She has performed with Redmond Academy of Theatre Arts: Butcher in Cinderella, featured Ensemble in Disney’s Moana JR., Spot Conlon in Disney’s Newsies, and Mrs. Heron in Mean Girls. Maya loves writing and would like to thank everyone involved in this production.

RILEY KIJAC, she/her (Mrs. Murray, The Red-Eyed Man) is so excited for her Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE debut! She has been in six shows with her school including Barbara in Beetlejuice JR. and Ensemble in shows like Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Outside of the theatre, she loves to be outside, bake, and read. Riley would like to thank her family for supporting her through all her theatre classes and shows. Hi Ellie!

NOA KIM, she/her (Ensemble). This is Noa's first Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE production, and she is thrilled to join the cast and team. She has been in a variety of other shows. Her most recent and favorite role was playing Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz (Broadway Bound Children's Theatre). She would like to thank Brandi, her friends, and her family, who have shown her endless support for her passion for storytelling. She hopes you enjoy A Wrinkle in Time!

MAISIE MARSH, she/her (Charles Wallace) is thrilled to journey through time and space in A Wrinkle in Time. Her favorite past adventures include: Jane Banks in Mary Poppins (The 5th Avenue Theatre), Oliver Twist in Oliver! JR. (Redmond Academy of Theatre Arts), and u/s Tappy McCrackin in Come On Get Tappy (SecondStory Repertory). JULIET MESSENGER, (Ensemble) is ecstatic for her first performance with Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE. She has been working with KIDSTAGE for the past several years in summer camps, workshops, Institute, etc. Previous performances include A Christmas Carol (Page to Stage Productions) and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang with her school’s drama club. She thanks her fat cat Midnight, her family, fellow actors, and friends for bringing her to this point in her career.

CHARLOTTE MICHEL, she/her (Mrs. Whatsit) has been taking classes at Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE for many years. Her first appearance with KIDSTAGE was last spring as Peach the Starfish and Vocal Captain in Disney’s Finding Nemo JR. Last summer, she was part of KIDSTAGE’s first ever Summer Performance Intensive. This school year, she is in her first year of Village Theatre Institute. Charlotte is thrilled to "tesser" into her second KIDSTAGE production!

CATIE OGLIORE, she/her (Aunt Beast, u/s Mrs. Murray, u/s The Red-Eyed Man, u/s Happy Medium) is thrilled to debut in her first Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE production. Previous credits include: Miss Trunchbull in Matilda the Musical, Oliver Warbucks in Annie, and Sandy in Grease. She is currently a student in Village Theatre Institute. Catie enjoys playing the violin and reading. She would like to thank her family, her best friend Colette and her dog Maggie for all their love and support. Enjoy the show!

ELLIOT PARK, he/him (Happy Medium, u/s Mr. Murray) is hyped to be a part of this show! Previous roles at Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE include Marlin in Disney’s Finding Nemo JR. and Ensemble/Dance Captain in The Addams Family Young@Part. He was also seen at Studio East as Orcus in She Kills Monsters. Outside of theater, he loves playing Dungeons & Dragons with his best friends and banging on the drums. Huge thanks to his sibling, Lou, and a shout-out to all the "weird kids" out there. Stay groovy!

VICTORIA PHAL, (Ensemble) is excited to be in her second Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE production. Favorite roles include Pearl from Disney’s Finding Nemo JR. and Plankton from SpongeBob the Musical. Victoria enjoys being in Village Theatre Institute. Her favorite thing about KIDSTAGE is all the fun games and friends. Thanks to M&D.

ALICE REED, she/her (Calvin O'Keefe) is so honored to be a part of A Wrinkle in Time, her fourth Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE production! Past favorite roles include Ensemble and u/s Wednesday in The Addams Family Young@Part and Bubbles in Disney’s Finding Nemo JR. (KIDSTAGE); and Tilly in She Kills Monsters (Studio East). Alice is also a very proud Village Theatre Institute student. Love and thanks to her sisters and her family for their love and support.

VIOLET REED, she/her (Ensemble, u/s Charles Wallace) is thrilled to be making her Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE debut in this amazing production of A Wrinkle in Time! Past favorite credits include Rafiki in Disney’s The Lion King and Babette/Ensemble in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, both produced by her elementary school. Outside of theatre, she is a dedicated martial artist, training in Taekwando and Arnis. She would like to thank her family, especially her two sisters, for all their love and support!

CARTER SHIFLETT, he/him (Mr. Murray) is so excited to perform his fourth show at Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE! He has previously been in KIDSTAGE productions of Disney’s Finding Nemo JR., The Addams Family Young@Part, and Into the Woods JR. Carter would like to thank his family for supporting him and his interests in theater.

MARIAH SHRINER, (Mrs. Who) is very excited to appear in her first Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE production. She was most recently seen as Little Ti Moune in Once on This Island (Village Theatre). Mariah has loved being in Village Theatre Institute this year. She has also been in several school productions, done musical theater, dance and voice. Mariah is also thankful for Jesus, family and friends.

MAEBRY SMITH-PAUL, she/her (Mrs. Which) is so excited to be back at Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE for her fourth show, A Wrinkle in Time! You might have seen her as Mordcha, Ensemble and Swing in Fiddler on the Roof, Crush in Disney’s Finding Nemo JR., or as Ancestor and u/s Lurch in The Addams Family Young@Part (KIDSTAGE). When Maebry’s not on stage, she’s usually on a basketball/volleyball court, or hanging out with her friends. She thanks all her friends and family for their love!

BONICA TAY, she/her (Ensemble) is so excited to join her first Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE show! Past shows include The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime (Studio East) and Into the Woods (Redmond Academy of Theater Arts). Her hobbies include cross country, sewing, and badminton. She'd like to thank her father for always helping her memorize lines and drive her to practices. She hopes you enjoy the KIDSTAGE production of one of her favorite books!

ELYA TAY, she/her (Ensemble, u/s Mrs. Whatsit, u/s Mrs. Who, u/s Mrs. Which) is thrilled to be in Village Theatre's KIDSTAGE production of A Wrinkle in Time! Previous productions include: Ensemble in The Addams Family Young@Part (KIDSTAGE), Ensemble in The Phantom Tollbooth (Studio East), as well as Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream and Lavender in Matilda The Musical at her middle school. Elya would like to thank her family, friends, and Institute teachers for helping her get this far!

IZZY URBANO, (Ensemble, u/s Calvin) has appeared in Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE as Ensemble in The Prom and is honored to be a third-year student in Village Theatre Institute. She recently appeared as Bonnie in Anything Goes (Redmond Academy of Theatre Arts), where she also performed her favorite role of Catherine Parr in Six! She started in theatre in Houston and is happy to have a great community of mentors and friends in Washington. She thanks her family for their support!

Who’s Who: Creative Team

JANET COLE HAMILTON, she/her (Director) has been with Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE since 2006 and at different points has managed classes, camps, productions, Village Theatre Institute, and in-school residencies/afterschool enrichment. Previous directing credits include Dumb Club (KIDSTAGE Originals), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (KIDSTAGE TeenSelect), The Last Five Years, Nunsense, Arcadia, The Woman in Black (Renton Civic Theatre), and The Foreigner (Driftwood Players). An avid knitter, Janet understands that the shortest distance between two points is not a straight line. Personal motto: Duck for Luck.

CADEN GREEN, he/they (Costume Designer) has previously worked at Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE in the Summer Independent Program, designing costumes for Fiddler on the Roof this past summer. He has also recently acted as costume design associate for Mother Russia (Seattle Rep). He has a BFA in costume design from Cornish College of the Arts and has designed numerous shows throughout his college career including: Amélie, Chess, Fun Home and Head Over Heels. cadenevergreen.com

CLINT BULL, he/him (Lighting Designer) is thrilled to be back designing lights for Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE again! He has previously worked on past KIDSTAGE productions such as Miscast Cabaret, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Jasper in Deadland, I'm Doing This, and Krisis Kids Wilderness Adventure Camp. He would like to thank all his friends and family for just being so great.

SANDRA HUEZO-MENJIVAR, they/she (Sound Designer) is a sound designer and audio engineer based in Seattle, WA. Past credits include Sound Designer for Disney's Finding Nemo JR. and Audio Engineer for The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical (Village Theatre's KIDSTAGE); Sound Designer for Alice By Heart (Cornish College of the Arts); and Sound Designer for Love’s Labor’s Lost (Seattle Shakespeare Company). JACK JESSAMYN BATEMAN-IINO, they/he (Properties Designer) is a Seattle area prop designer and stage manager. Past favorite shows include Mean Girls: High School Version (Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE), Cabaret (Reboot Theatre), and The Last World Octopus Wrestling Champion (ArtsWest). ETHAN SWIM, (Stage Manager) is delighted to be stage managing this adventurous production. He could not have done it without the amazing help of Athena Davis. Some previous credits include: Disney’s Finding Nemo JR. (Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE), Beautiful: The Carole King Musical and Jersey Boys (Village Theatre). He has experience working in New York City and the Seattle area at various theatres. Ethan would like to thank his partner Drew, and family, for their constant love and support. ATHENA DAVIS, she/her (Assistant Stage Manager, Rehearsal Stage Manager) is thrilled to be involved with A Wrinkle in Time! Credits include: The 21st Annual Festival of New Musicals (Village Theatre), Fiddler on the Roof, KIDSTAGE Originals 2024, Holiday Cabaret, and Bright Star (Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE). Athena is a Village Theatre Institute alum, works on staff as a House Manager, and is the Village Theatre recipient of the 2024 Teeny Award. Special thanks to her family, friends, and staff members who have supported Athena.
MORGAN GOULD, (Adaptation) is a New York City based playwright, director, producer and theater professional specializing in licensing and the creation and representation of adaptations for the stage. Formerly the Literary Manager at Playscripts, Inc., Morgan has also held multiple staff positions at Young Jean Lee’s Theater Company, The Cape Cod Theatre Project, Lark Play Development Center, and she helms her own theater company, Morgan Gould & Friends. She’s done residencies and directed work at theaters including Ensemble Studio Theatre, New Georges, Brooklyn Arts Exchange, Ars Nova, HERE Arts Center and Playwrights Horizons. She holds a B.A. in directing from Fordham University, an M.F.A. in playwriting from CUNY Brooklyn, and is currently studying playwriting at Juilliard. She has directed works at theaters throughout New York City, and her own plays for schools have been performed across the nation.
MADELEINE L’ENGLE, (Author) was an American writer of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and young adult fiction, including A Wrinkle in Time and its sequels: A Wind in the Door, A Swiftly Tilting Planet, Many Waters, and An Acceptable Time. Her works reflect both her Christian faith and her strong interest in modern science.
Village Theatre's Technical Theater Program
Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE Technical Theater Program (TTP) provides hands-on experimental learning mentored by professionals in a wide variety of theater disciplines. TTP opportunities allow students to learn theatre industry vocational skills such as direction, design, technical theater, and management. Special thanks to our TTP students who worked beside our professionals.
About the Spring Productions
This production program is designed for new and younger aspiring theater artists. This program focuses on the performer and the development of their artistic process as they learn to create and collaborate with Directors, Music Directors, Choreographers, and Designers, as well as each other. Students who participate begin to learn the fundamentals of character development, studying choreography, staging, and vocal technique. They also experience a full production process from rehearsals, technical and dress rehearsals, to performances.
